Location : Spain
Floor area : 400m2
On the north side, the façade extends over a length of eighty metres. Behind this wall is the “indoor walk” around the various rooms and patios, which all offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. On the south side, the extension of the floor and the overhanging roof allow an outdoor walk via the stone terrace, which is integrated into the living area. Various walls mark out the outdoor spaces, the entrance, the private terrace and the service access. Every architectural component (exterior and interior walls, roof and so on) is presented meticulously. The internal circulation route-which is partly buried to the north – ends with an architectural sculpture designed by the architect. The body of the building is broken up by a patio with a dining area. A lavender field accentuates the terrace by the sitting room. The kitchen is positioned between the day area and the night area. It is constructed along the interior walkways. The same Calice stone was used for the furnishings. The south-facing rooms all open out onto a lower terrace. The outdoor walk is built up as the sculpture of a ship’s deck. The sea is visible beyond the “campo”. A simple extension of the terrace, punctuated by two pine trees that form a patio that is integrated into the building. The alfresco dining room is done in ocumé wood. Furniture by Tribu. The uniformity of colours and materials creates a play of light that frames the space. Walls and ceiling have been plastered with cement coloured throughout with the same tones as the Calice stone floor. The panels are made of ocumé wood with a natural tint. The dining room is furnished with two tables designed by the architect. Chairs distributed by S&B Projects. The bathroom opens onto the southern walkway. Bath and washbasin are clad with Calice stone. The master bedroom enjoys a panoramic view and is completed by a private terrace to the side. Potographer: Jean-Luc laloux
